Spiced Apple Tea
There is no denying that apples and cinnamon are a perfect combo, and they may offer various health benefits, including aiding weight loss, improving heart health, and reducing inflammation. This natural tea is easy to make and tastes delicious either hot or cold.
2 granny smith apples, cored
2 cinnamon sticks, halved
1 tbsp of lemon juice
2 tsp liquid honey or your preferred sweetener
4 cups of filtered water
The first step is to lightly crush the cloves with the back of a metal spoon in a bowl, cut the apple into pieces, removing seeds and core, combine these two ingredients with the cinnamon and lemon juice in a saucepan. Add 4 cups of cold water. Bring to the boil over medium-high heat.
Gently boil for about 5 minutes or until apples have softened. Strain into a heatproof jug.
Add the liquid honey or preferred sweetener, mix it well and allow the liquid to slightly cool before pouring into glasses and serve with thinly sliced of granny smith apple.
